Fiercely devoted to the Jewish people, Begin who survived the Soviet Gulag where he was sent for Zionist activities, became an underground resistance fighter in Palestine, and emerged from the political fringe to become Israel’s 6th prime minister.  Menachem Begin was a warrior who went on to share the Nobel Peace Prize with Egypt’s Anwar el-Sadat.  This new film is a riveting, nuanced examination of Begin’s storied career and lasting impact on the State of Israel.
